Hello everyone, welcome to CCN IFP Center of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU)! I am Wang Zhiwu, Vice Dean of the School of International Education at Northwestern Polytechnical University. On behalf of all the teachers here, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you!
NPU is located in the historic city of Xi'an, cradle of Chinese civilization and terminus of the ancient Silk Road. Now it has more than 1,300 international students from more than 100 countries.
NPU is the only multidisciplinary and research-oriented in China that is simultaneously developing education and research programs in the fields of aeronautics, astronautics, and marine technology engineering.
The IFP programme is equipped with first-class teaching staff, advanced teaching facilities and a warm learning environment. It aims to cultivate outstanding international talents with high professional level, broad cultural knowledge, and cross-cultural competence and global competence.
In recent years, more and more international students have entered our university and other excellent universities in China through the international Preparatory Program. They also show their talents in cultural communication and professional competitions inside and outside the university, and become a bridge and bond of international cultural exchanges. The Northwestern Polytechnical University has two campuses, and the CCN IFP Centre of NPU is located” on Youyi Campus (友谊校区) or Friendship Campus after translation.
The Youyi Campus is located just opposite the historic West Market in Xi’an that marks the terminus of the ancient Silk Road. Reflecting the vibrancy of the market square where merchants once arrived to trade their wares – now restored as an international cultural, leisure and shopping complex – the campus offers a stimulating environment for academic inquiry and exchange with state-of-the art facilities for scientific research.
The two campuses are linked by a regular shuttle bus service, and the journey takes about an hour.
The university offers students with first-class facilities for learning inside and outside the classrooms.
Life at NPU is really colorful. Besides sports and artistic activities, it also provides students with various opportunities for academic and recreational activities so that you can fully relax yourself in your spare time.
