Learning at the CCN IFP Study Centre of JSU can never be dull. Students can enjoy various forms of classes, which offer not only theoretical knowledge in Chinese and other subjects, but also practical experience and exposure to culture and communication.

Student Activities
Students at the CCN IFP Centre of JSU are provided with various opportunities for exposure to Chinese culture and social practice. Currently, activities offered online include experiencing traditional Chinese culture, virtual city tours and a wide range of cultural lectures.
Moreover, students have opportunities to communicate with current students on degree programmes, which will enable them to be better prepared for their own degree studies in the future.
Staffing
The CCN IFP Centre of JSU is equipped with a strong faculty team of about 15 professional teachers. 80% of the teachers have Master’s degrees and many of them speak at least two foreign languages.
The teachers are highly experienced in teaching Chinese to international students, who are familiar with international students’ approaches to learning, and their strength and weakness in learning. Therefore, they can adjust the ways of teaching accordingly, while upgrading the teaching design and content continuously.

Responsible for all Overseas Education College (OEC) administrative affairs, mainly in charge of admission, human resources, finance and CCN International Pre-University Foundation Programme.
Professor Gao studied at Nanjing University from 1984 to 1994 and received Ph.D, then joined the faculty of her Alma Mater. She went to UIUC (America) as a visiting professor from 1998 to 1999, transferred to School of Pharmacy Jiangsu University in 2006. She has conducted some Pharmacological research programmes, and published 100 academic papers (about 30 of them were indexed by SCI). She obtained the honor as National Excellent Educator of International Students in 2014. She worked as the Vice Dean of International Education Exchange College from August 2008 to May 2011, and became the Dean of Overseas Education College in 2011.

Mr. Dai has been working for international student management for many years. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Alberta in Canada in 2018. Mr. Dai has extensive experience in teaching of Chinese culture and management of international students.
He has received the honorary title of outstanding individual of Jiangsu Province and is welcomed by all teachers and students.

Director, Teaching Department of Chinese as a Foreign Language, Language and Culture Center, JSU
Ms Tang is mainly responsible for the teaching management of international students and presides over the HSK exams.
She has compiled and published the third and fourth volumes of “MeiLi Chinese: Listening and Speaking Series” and “100 Sentences of Spoken Chinese for International Students”.
As Director of the Chinese Teaching Department, she is very supportive for teachers and students and is highly respected by teachers and students.

Manager of Teaching Affairs, CCN IFP Centre of JSU
Ms Guo is responsible for teaching and student affairs at the CCN IFP Centre of JSU.
She has worked and lived in South Korea for many years, with extensive experience in teaching management of international students. Therefore, Ms Guo has rich teaching experience and strong communication ability in interactions with students from overseas.
Ms Guo was awarded the advanced individual in education management of overseas students from Jiangsu Province in 2020.
Ding Jinyan

Teaching Secretary, Language and Culture Center, JSU
Ms Ding has been engaged in Chinese teaching and management for international students for more than ten years.
She once went to the United Kingdom to study communication skills for a year, participated in the training project of Teaching in English as the Medium of Instruction for Teachers of International Students of Jiangsu Province.
With strong communication abilities, Ms Ding is good at innovation in teaching, offering dynamic and interactive classes to students so that they can learn creatively.

Ms Wang graduated from Nankai University with a Master’s degree in Chinese International Education.
She worked as a Chinese teacher at the Confucius Institute in Erfurt, Germany from 2015 to 2016. She has been teaching Chinese at the Chinese Preparatory Center of Jiangsu University since 2018, and participated in the publication of the Chinese and German edition of the textbook “Thousand Characters”.

Ms Yan is highly experienced in international Chinese language education. She is a conscientious and responsible teacher and has developed her unique teaching style in Chinese teaching.

Born in 1972, Ms Zhu graduated from the Department of Russian Language at Nanjing Normal University in 1994. She received her Master’s degree in Russian Language and Literature from East China Normal University in 2003. Ms Zhu studied at Pushkin State University of Russian Language in Russia from September 2005 to March 2006.
With extensive experiences in teaching international students, Ms Zhu has published widely in her area of teaching and research.

Dr Xia Lei has a PhD in Engineering. He has been teaching Chinese for liberal arts for two years.
So far he has trained more than 40 international students on the foundation programme.

Dr Yu graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with a PhD, majoring in condensed matter physics. She has visited the University of California, Berkeley and Swansea University in the UK.
As a physics teacher, Dr Yu is engaged in physics teaching for international students. She loves teaching and has been awarded “Excellent Teacher” for many times. She has published one English textbook for international students and two papers on teaching international students.

Party Secretary & Teacher, Department of Financial Mathematics, School of Mathematical Sciences, JSU
Dr Yang graduated from Jiangsu University with a PhD in Engineering.
Since 2016, she has been engaged in teaching for international students at the Overseas Education College of JSU. She is responsible for teaching Advanced Mathematics and Probability Statistics for undergraduates and Stochastic Processes for postgraduates. In 2019, she started teaching Mathematics.
Dr Yang won the 2nd prize at the Jiangsu Provincial Competition for Teaching in English and Bilingual Teaching. She’s engaged in compiling the textbook Calculus for international students, and the textbook Probability Statistics and development of online classes.
